POSITION:

Social Media Intern

JOB OVERVIEW:

Ideal candidate with organize and execute social media content for On Q Communications, as well as assist with social media for clients where needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting in the creation of social media content for on Q communications and clients
• Posting social content for On Q Communications main social media platforms
• Assisting in the creation of blog posts for On Q Communications
• Assisting in the posting of content for the On Q website
• Assisting in the developing of content calendars for On Q Communications
• Participate in strategy and brainstorm discussions for current clients and prospective clients
• Keep abreast of emerging social media platforms, tools and technologies on an ongoing basis
• Seek and reach out to prominent blogs and influencers across North America
• Use online tools to create original content and schedule content for publishing

QUALIFICATIONS:

Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a college or university program in Digital Management or Communications

• Previous professional experience in social media considered an asset
• Extensive knowledge of primary social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube)
• Extensive knowledge of additional social media platforms (Snapchat, Vine, LinkedIn In) preferred
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Comfortable with deadline oriented work follow
• Work well independently and as a team member
• Graphic design experience is a strong asset

POSITION:

Public Relations Intern

JOB OVERVIEW:

The correct candidate will be tasked with assisting in public outreach, media relations, influencer relations, and event management for On Q Communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting in the management of logistics (such as supplies and services) for On Q Communications associated events
• Assist with client relations manager demands during events and day-to- day operations
• Assist in the execution of media relations duties and outreach to journalists, bloggers, and influencers
• Writing press material for On Q Communications associated events
• Conducting media audits for On Q Communications associated events
• Participate in strategy and brainstorm discussions for current clients and prospective clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a college or university program in PR, Marketing, or Communications
• Previous internship experience in PR is considered an asset
• Past experience in MRRP considered an asset
• Knowledge of Mailchimp considered an asset
• Candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills both in person and over the phone.
• Candidate should be outgoing and comfortable in new environments
