The City of Toronto has selected a communications agency to drive the launch of a new downtown park. On Q Communications was chosen to spearhead communications for the official reopening of Berczy Park, a revitalized green space in the St. Lawrence neighbourhood.
After two years of planning and construction, the renovated park is set to open with a whimsical water fountain designed by architecture firm Claude Cormier and Associès as the central piece. The two-tiered fountain will feature 27 dogs spraying water from their mouths. (One cat figurine has it’s attention occupied elsewhere; visit the park and follow its gaze to see why.) With a golden bone sitting atop, the fountain is set to be a popular main attraction and a new Toronto icon.
Berczy Park is located between Wellington, Front and Scott streets across from the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts. The official launch of the park will take place on June 28th with an extensive community event including musical performances, live interactive performances, children’s activities, food and beverages and official ceremonies.
On Q Communications is thrilled to be leading the media relations efforts for Berczy Park and looks forward to introducing the media and community to Toronto’s newest park.
